I agree.. im not saying people should not be induced with reasons like that .. im saying just coz they are 2 days over ??? I was induced and it was a horrific experience and all becasue they told me my baby was dangerously small!!.............. 26 hours later... baby being very distressed and needing oxygen he was OK and a healthy 7lb 5..
not a debate,, not saying bad things about anyone .. just my opinion.
take care all

lol I think it gets to point where you are so desperate you do anything.
There have been numerous threads on natural induction of
pineapple
hot currys
sex
long walks etc
A Diy sweep is no different as long as you have clean hands, short nails and no what you are doing xxx

woooooo, firstly i posted this thread asking a question, not to cause a dabate. If there are people out there having early sweeps or inductions good luck to them, before you judge or just assume try asking the question first why are people being induced early? mainly to do with medical reasons not something that is taken lightly. Yes its sometimes best for babies to come in their own time. Tell that to a mother with pre eclampsia, depression, spd, or other medcal reasons

Midwifes do sweeps and induce you .. thats not letting nature take it course!
Im 100% up for waiting for baby to arrive on its own accord and i think to many people are induced for no reason whatsoever!

low short and soft and thinning, very slightly similar to during ovulation where it sort of disappears where it's gone all flat, except it's low instead of high. I know hwat I mean but not sure if I'm describing it very well.

anyone done one???
