I had cramps, back ache, brown discharge and bleeding on and off from 6 weeks to 14 weeks and all the way through my EPAU dept at the local hospital were brilliant, had a scan at 6 weeks to show the heartbeat, normal scan at 12 weeks then after a heavy bleed another scan at 14 weeks and all was well, i am now 22 weeks and blomming everyday But go and get it checked to be on the safe side otherwise you will sit and worry.

I had crampy pains and brown / pink discharge for the first 3 - 4 months of my pregnancy and this is my first - it has stopped now and all seems to be going great - it can be quite normal in the first 3 months but I suppose if the cramps become more painful thewn I would just speak to your doctor - try not to worry I am sure everything is fine !!

I had this with my 1st pregnancy, I was in Florida at the time and it was worrying, but it was just implantation bleeding. I had it on and off when af was due and it was all ok.

Had what I thought was a proper period with my 2nd pregnancy but next period was 2 weeks late and I was almost 9 weeks when I found out!

All should be ok as long as it is mild bleeding and it is old brown blood.

Hi,  hope you get this (I'm new).  I had brown discharge at 16 weeks.  Midwife sent me to the hospital and I they did a smear but told me it was more than likely old blood and nothing to worry about.  I spent 6 hours at the hospital and was given anti-d injection (I;m RH-neg) as a precaution.  A few weeks later and I was still having the discharge!  I lost my temper with the hospital and went to my GP.  She made a few calls and eventually got my smear result - Strep B positive!!  She then gave me antibiotics and within 3 days the discharge stopped!

If I were you I'd visit my GP and ask for a smear!

    bumpy see your gp.

I had brown discharge at around 5 to 6 weeks, saw my gp whom made an appointment for me at EPAU. Although initially everything seemed ok, 4 days after my scan at EPAU I miscarried.

    Please please get checked out.

hope all is well and lots of

Hey i had exactly the same. I called my doctors and the said that because it was brown it would be old blood. She told me to only worry if it because red as it would be fresh blood and if it carried on beyond 8 weeks. She said it was more than likely to be implantation bleeding. I was in a right panic thinking i had come on!

hey when i was 5 weeks a had brown discharge for about 2 weeks  but was told that coz it is brown it means it is old blood however if there is fresh to get it checked out.i didnt have anypains wich was a good sign as they say anyone who has fresh blood and pains shld get checked straight away. rest and fone the midwife  just to get sum advice she may arrange an early scan as i was offered one at 6 weeks, now 23+4 with healthy girl. i bet u will go on to have a healthy pregnancy. hope everythings okay and let us no
