Thank you for replying it's like you describe the brown old blood, this is my second pregnancy and I didn't experience this with DD so just wanting to check.

I had spotting for a while on and off up until I was about 9 weeks. It was brown, so it was old blood which is quite normal. Some women have a phantom period all through pregnancy, but if you suspect that it could be anythhing more, or the blood is bright red or heavy then you should get things checked.

Is it normal to have bleeding during the early stages on pregnancy?

And if so is it normally just spotting or can it be more?
