I was on the depo for 9 years. When i came of it the doctor told me it could take upto 18 months to get out of my system. It actually has taken 3.5 years from coming of it to get pregnant just when i thought it was never going to happen lol

Hiya hun, i was on the depo injection for two years and it completely messed up my body, and was told it would take a long time to concieve again. I did pg test after pg becasue i used to get pg symptoms every month it was a nightmare but the doctor told me to stick it out as it would get better. I gave up after two years and went onto the pill. Which I recently got caught on lol right before the end of my packet haa haa. So no i dont think you can get pg on the injection although nothing is impossible but i think it is probably just your body playing tricks on you. xx -

I was on the depo injection before falling pregnant this time round! Ive been on it twice now,the first time was great but like you i went on my hols and forgot it was due so i then left it a couple of months and went back on it but this time round my periods were so messed up i was on for 2-3 weeks at a time with only a few days break in between, so i stopped the injection to let things settle down and about 3 months later i fell pregnant with this one, thought i was bein really careful too but then nothing is 100% So not too sure about your situation but you could be pregnant! x

I am not sure how long it takes for your body to get the injection hormones out of your body, but if you were due it in august then you have been without it for a while. Is it every three months the one you use? If so then you had your last one in May?
If that is all correct then you could be pregnant as you have been 5 months without it.
I got pregnant twice using that combined pill..... so it does happen. And if you have been using no form of contraception since then there is a higher chance you are pregnant.
The best thing you can do is look at your periods. Have they changed in any way other that side effects from not having the injection? When was your last one and what was it like?
Also if your period is late, or you still have not had one since you missed your injection I would go straight to the doctors for a blood test. You may be firthur along than you might think IF you are pregnant.
