my blood sugar was just over the normal so gotta p*** my finger n record it.

did it yesterday and as far as i can tell its all good and not even near what my blood sugar can go up to lol. and i dint do anything different.

oh well only less than 6 weeks left.

they told me i had it and then told me i didn't after i demanded a retest.

i had the test when i was in hospital after having a bleed and them giving me steroids, the steroids increesed my blood sugar and they is what made them think i had it,

i had to p*** my finger everyday 3 times a day and keep a record of what my bs was,

i got so anoyed as they told me i had to cut out everything i didn't eat and get my bs down from the results the first fasting test gave them. how could i cut out things i dont eat?

i went and saw my own doc and told him i was feeling really down and scared as i couldn't cut out anything, as there was nothing to cut out, i told him i wasn't happy with the result and he had the test re done, 2 weeks later they called me and told me there was nothing to worry about, i didn't have it!

this may not be the case for you but they will just get you to keep a record of you bs and tell you to cut out all sugary things, and that means looking at all lables and checking the sugar level in them, they may say no added sugar but furit is high in natural sugar and that would need to be cut out as well.

good luck, i was doing it for 2 weeks and went crazy. hopefully you will get more support at your hossy. they didn't tell me anything helpful and dismissed the fact they knew i had steriods!
