I'd go and get checked out if i was you hun, i got steralized 14 yrs ago and it makes af lighter, it has made everyone i know lighter as well. go and see your gp.

Possibly but I had my 1st af approx 6 wks after delivery bleed, then the other 2 were spot on 4 wkly ish as I haven't written any dates down but pretty sure they were on time.

I asked the nurses when I had it done if it would affect my af n they said no as it's only cutting n tyin ur tubes n doesn't affect ur womb, so tbh I'm just not sure what's goin on here.

Think I'm gonna have to book an app wiv gp after half term if it's not arrived but thx anyway hun xxx

Not sure for def but my understanding is that your body is releasing eggs that have no-where to go - hence the cut & tied tubes which desn't cause the same hormone surge that prompts your womb lining to either accept a fertilized egg or to shed itself in preparation for the next cycle. So similar to some women that don't ovulate your lining may have to reach a certain stage of thickness before shedding (period) which would take longer than the 28-35 day cycles classed as normal. I think anyway. Not sure if I've made sense in explaining it though.

Well here goes. I posted on here a while bk about failing sterilisation.

I was a DIMAY 08 mummy and had my baby girl by elective c-section (it was my 3rd section).

I'm 27 with 3 children, two boys & a girl, 2 previous mc's so I decided to be sterilised at the same time as my section. I had my tubes cut and tied!!!

I have had 3 very heavy af's since then, my last one startin around the 17th Sept. Approx 3 wks after my af I had some thick tinged pink/brown discharge which lasted 2 days. I am still waitin 4 my af 2 arrive, it will be 6 wks on wed since my last 1 and am worried.

I did a tesco test about a wk after I had the spotting, neg. So I did another the following wk (clear blue digital) still neg. So doesn't sound as though I'm pregnant.

Any1 bin in the same boat? Or know what is goin on wiv my body? I feel sick n tired. Just wish I knew what was going on!!!
