    Hi

Im 14 weeks and keep fainting also, i even fainted trying on my wedding dress, they called an ambulance and first response team (which happened to be the local firebrigade!) How embarressed was i!! I went to my G.P who said not to worry it was either due to low blood pressure or low blood sugers, she advised that when i go dizzy lie down on the floor onto my left side (it helps to get blood pumping round) not always easy when out and about though, i try not to stand for to long and keep cool which seems to help

    Hope u soon feel better

    Hi,

I am 40+1 today an had the same thing you describe for the first 5/6 months of my pregnancy, happened at least once a week, usually on the train to work which wasn't nice! MW said it could be down to either a sudden drop in blood pressure or overheating, but no definite cause, just 'a pregnancy thing'

Keep a bottle of cool water with you, and lucozade sweets as these can help combat the drop in blood sugar that follows (thats why you feel weak and shaky afterwards), and as soon as you get that feeling (dizzy, shaky and weak) just sit down immediately, even if its on the floor, don't worry about looking silly, last thing you want is to hit the floor like a sack of spuds whilst pregnant, It happened to me a few times and is very scary!

    HTH xxxx

I had quite a lot of fainting in late pregnancy just as you described!!! The first time it happened I was in the dentists chair!! Think I was about 35 weeks, anyway they monitored me in hospital and it just so happened I fainted again there and had the belt round me! Babys heartrate dipped too so was kept in for observation.

Everything was fine in the end! Just make sure you eat enough and relax.

I have felt like this, tho I have never fainted. If you feel like this again you should try to lie down on the floor. But if it happens a lot speak to your m/w.

    Hi,>>

    >

Im  14 weeks on Saturday and this morning I was in the shower and I got really hot (I hadn’t had anything to eat yet as I always get in the shower before I do anything) and I felt really dizzy so got out. As soon as my feet hit the bathroom floor I couldn’t see anything, but I had my eyes open and it was all brown, I started swaying and then stumbled backwards and then my partner put me down on the floor and was talking to me and slowly I come back round and started to see, then I was sick and really shakey. It was horrible, I have never had anything like that before. Now I feel fine, but what happened really frightened me and im worried it will happen again, why did this happen??>>
