Hi
I have a hum dinger of a coldsore, being pregnant am i still ok to go ahead with creams, lotions and potions to try and get rid????
Thanks

They are only a risk if you have never had one in your life before. If you have had one, even if it was years ago, you will have some immunity to pass onto your baby. But if you havent and baby is exposed to the virus whilst tiny, there is a risk that the virus can overwhelm their immature immune system.
There was a very sad story on our local news about it a few days ago. But the risk is small as most people will have had at least one coldsore before they get pg.
