I would only worry if they beging to get painful. Braxton hicks can sometimes feel uncomfortable as it is your womb practising the real contractions, but they should not be painful.

If you are concerned that they are more than just a little uncomfortable and annoying then go and see the doc or get an appointment with your midwife asap.

I got them with my first, after about 30 weeks but lately with number 2 (30wks) I am gettin them constantly and like you, I feel the baby might come early!!

Am only going to get worried if they start to REALLY hurt tho!

hiya , I had my daughter at 29 weeks and dont remember any braxton hicks b4 having her, but with my son who was full term I did have them early, I remember well because I kept worrying that I was going to have him early too. If you are very worried though you should really talk to somone as if it is signs of labour they can do things to prevent it. Hope all goes well for you.

    I have a questionTinaMacskimming

Hi there - I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my second baby and just wondered if anyone else is having or has had braxton hicks contractions this early.  I'm not talking the occasional one here and there - at night when I lie down, they are coming every 3 minutes and last about 30 seconds each.  During the day they are far less frequent, but still fairly regular.  I live in France and so sometimes understanding every detail of what's being explained to me is difficult, however, my consultant did an internal this week and said everything was fine.  Just would like to know it's fairly normal and that I'm not on my own!  I don't remember having any braxton hicks at all with my first child and am starting to worry that this one doesn't plan on staying inside the full 40 weeks!  Thanks in advance for any feedback.
