I had treatment to remove abnormal cells in july 06. Last year i was induced at 36+6 with my third baby due to OC, but ended up with a section as my cervix refused to open despite 4 lots of prosaglandin gel. Ive been told this could be to do with the treatment i had, but could also have just been that it was too early and my body was protecting my baby by refusing to go into labour. I have no idea what it was, but i had had 2 normal vaginal births before so i know my body knew what to do!!!!

I had had 2 loops before dd and my labour was text book, 4 hours start to finish with no problems whatsoever.. my dd was 8 weeks early though but they dont know if that was because of my cervix.

This time with another loop under my belt i am being monitored to check my cervix incase i look like having aother prem but other then that they dont seem worried about it.

no-one mentioned having to have a section, i think that really is last case scenario stuff.. chances are you will be fine with a possibility that you could take longer to dilate or that you could dilate really quickely, i really wouldnt dwell on it to much

hi hun..... im under the coloscopy clinic as ive had treatment 4 abnormal cells(lazer n loop) r u still under sum1 4 them or was u given all clear? u normally get a check after 6 mnths, i have heard it can make delivery a bit harder, but not sure if u need a c section, sounds a bit drastic 2 me?i thought it just may make it a bit harder 2 open, id go n speek 2 the dr,or mention it in ante natal, n c what they say, they may want u 2 be seen in coloscopy? im still under hosp as i still have cells,so im waiting 4 treatment when bubs arrives, but they have not mentioned delivery yet, hadnt had any when i had my son,not much help im affraid... but defo mention at antenatal  xxxxx

Hi there, i had the same problem, they gave me a vaginal scan at 17 weeks to check length of cervix etc and all was okay, my consultant rekons all should be okay in labour but a small risk my cervix could either open 2 early or not open at all. at least its in my notes so they will be prepared for it. hth. xx

hi there.i had some abnormal cells lasered off of my cervix in feb this year,i also had a cone biopsy taken from my cervix.i am now 17 wks pregnant, due in april and have been told by the midwfie that i may have to have a c-section as the scar tissue may be too tough for the cervix to open properly.

i am booked to see the consultant at the start of january.anyone had this?anyone had a normal vaginal birth?thanks xx
