Don't worry about it before my son was born when i was 32 weeks my bump and him was measuring 38 weeks and according to the scans his growth wasn't slowing doing and was estimated to be over 12 pounds when born he was 9 pound 6 oz and i had a lot of water trust me i almost flooded the room out there was that much saying that they broke my waters as i was induced at 9 days over if you want to see how big i was to make you feel better i have a picture a few days before he was born on my profile x

At my last scan when I was 28 weeks I was measruing 4 weeks ahead on my bump AND scan measurments. I am now almost 32 weeks and measuring 38! So I know how you feel! Hopefully at the next growth scan it doesnt come back with him measuring that big!

I have this now hun at 27 weeks. i was measuring 4/5 weeks ahead  so i had a growth scan. Baby is only measuring  about a week ahead and they say there is no excess fluid  so it must be poor muscle tone. I was measured again at 30 weeks  and  was still measuring 3/4 weeks ahead  but they're not worried now  because the growth is slowing down. I already have 3 girls and this baby is a boy  and like u all the boys in my family have been bigger. I have consultant on wednesday so we'll see what he has to say. On the other hand my friend was big and her baby was breech  they tried to turn him but couldn't and said c section was the only option because he was going to be big.He was born weighing a whopping 5lb 13 oz. So they really can't tell hun i wouldn't worry.

Try not to worry. You know it is actually easier to give birth to a bigger baby because they can help you more. I can tell you this is true awell after having my daughter 4 lbs 3 oz and then my son 10lbs 1oz, believe it or not my son was easier he only took 16 mins to push out.  Good luck, Oh and I also had growth scans which gave my son an estimated birth weight of 14lbs and they were way off. I was told they can be out by 20 percent either side. good luck

Hello not had it personally but a friend of mine did. She was under a consultant and everything...They thought she was going to have a big baby. They tested her for gestational diabetes she had extra scans and made her feel really guilty about being overweight. At one point they even said she may have to be induced early. However, baby's growth slowed in the last month. She had a dd august 21st weighing 8lb 2oz. Turned out it was xtra fluid!!

Her dd is know 11 wks and hv is worried as she feels dd is not putting on enough weight. Babies are individual just like adults and I think sometimes drs and nurses can get too hung up on stats!!

Try not to worry I'm sure it will all be fine. xx
