I was in a different situation but accrued a few extra days holiday and my work just paid me the hours rather than taking the time off.  maybe that would be an option. XXX

    Hi,

Not quite sure on this one, but if you ring ACAS they will be able to help and advise.

Can't remember their number but they do have a website with the number on.

    xx

    Hi

I started a new job in beginning of March this year, and unbeknown was couple weeks pregnant then. Anyway I am using all my holiday up to end of March 2009 now before starting maternity, but my contract was only till 09/03/09. My contract has had to be extended to cover my maternity period, I missed out on SMP by ?8 days so will be getting MA, however as my contract is now till 28/11/09 surely I will still accure holidays from April till then. Only if I do how can I take/claim them as I do not have a position to return too, as if I wanted to return to work earlier than Nov 09 my contract would just end.

Anyone know of where I stand HR are useless and know very little have had to use union to get this far.
