not sure if this is any help but with my 1st dd i was told all along she was a small baby and at times was told under average even though i had regular scans once a month till i was 8mths then once a week till baby came as i suffer from high blood pressure.  my dd was 13 days late but weighed at 8lb 2oz, very good weight and even if she had come on her due date she wasnt going to be under average but still a very good size.

dont worry yoursellf too much, why did they say they want to induce u anyway? hope all goes well,

hi i was told at 35 weeks my baby i was measuring too small so they sent me for another scan!!

turned out everything was fine i just wasnt very big.  Went into labour at 40+5 and Evie May weighed in at 6 1b 11.

as tthe other ladies said when baby engages your stomach drops so then the measurement changes.

how concerned are they by size of baby have they not scanned to see the size.

Do you want to be induced??  If the babies hb is ok and moving loads, and all your bits n bobs are ok then i see no reason for you to be induced.

I agree that when you bubs becomes engagged your belly tends to go down.  You think the size of your babies head is above your pelvis the when fully engagged its all in your pelvis so then can go down quite a bit.

Try not worry as its not good for you or your baby.  Im sure everything will be fine xx

You should measure less if your baby has dropped, I think.

iya i went to the hospital on thursday and they said my baby is to small (heart rate realy goot tho and my bp really good) they said i was meashuring at 34cm at first then 31cm but for the past two week at the doctors when i have been to see the midwife i have bin 36cm and it has worked up to that gradually so i no they can not have got it rong i just dont get it because my belly can not have shrunk, anyway after they meshured me they booked me in to be induced tomorrow (sunday) at 8am and i am wiried something is going to go rong, also my baby is moving about alot (more than the 10 kicks a day) has anyone else been in the same situation as me if so please tell me how your experiances where thanx
