Hey, i was exposed to parvo too when i was 17 weeks preg, i was one of the people who wasn't immune so had the gowth scan and everything was fine.  As a previous poster said numbers are on your side. I'm due today and everything is fine with my pregnancy and think it's precautionary more than anything else. It's amazing how many of the sonographers haven't even heard of it. xxx

I had this, well my son did and I was 9 weeks pregnant, I had the tests and they came back fine... they say nearly everyone has it as a child but dont realise as its just cold flu symptoms and a rash on cheeks and sometimes arms and legs...parvo b virus is more common than people think and my mw said its very rare for a unborn baby to be affected by it...hth x

Try not to worry i was exposed to Parvo (slapped cheek) virus twice early in pregnancy but a high percentage of ppl have had it and not known so immune.

I was immune. But try not to worry until got results as there is nothing that can be done either way.

    Fingers crossed.

Hi there, I was worried about this too when I was very early on in my pregnancy. I am a reception class teacher and a little girl in my class had it. I spoke to my doctor about it and she said there was no point in having the test at that time as apart from keeping an eye on me there was nothing they can do (which i didn't like!!!). Anyway she looked up on her computer about it and there is about a 10% chance of a pregnant woman catching it, 1% of those who do have complications so the numbers are on your side.

Also it is one of those things that you don't always know that you've had it. The majority of adults hvae had it either as a child or adult and had no symptoms I was told due to working in a school I have probably had it already.

Hopefully everything will be fine hun, try not to worry too much. x

hi my two little ones have got slapped cheek syndrome as its goin round dd nursery!!!! Took them to dr's todayy and now i have to have a blood test if im not immune which dr says i wont be as ive never had it i have to have regular scans as i causes misscarage and in rare cases fetal heart failure.

I've managed to get myself in a right state here and any advice would be fantastic. Anyone ever had this while preg or know anyone please any advice is beter than none.
