Hi there, i am 5months PG and i eat loveheart sweets for heartburn.  I know your thinking that im probably crazy, but they really do work!  Several of my other PG friends have tried it and its worked for them too!!  I used Gaviscon in my first PG but apart from the fact that it tastes foul it made me feel really sick too!!  If your OH isnt keen on Gaviscon either or just gets caught out when in town ect, i would reccomend giving Lovehearts a try.  And no i dont have shares in them!! LOL!!!  Hope she finds something that eases it soon cos its unbarable!!

I have been getting it too and its one of the worst things about being pregnant for me. I use rennies which solve the prob short term.

I'm due in January too and the heartburn has been a nightmare over the last two months.  Sometimes it's so bad, it makes me sick.  I swear by Gaviscon Double Action.   It's instant relief.  I don't leave home without my pink bottle.

Hi - I get it and it's awful. I use Gaviscon and yes you can get it on prescription but if like me you can't be bothered going to the docs for it the supermarket own brands of Gaviscon are just as good and cheaper.

Gaviscon is pretty good. Also, if your wife goes to see her doctor they will give her a prescription for a huge bottle as its fairly expensive normally.
