Not a pulse but u can hear the blood flow with the dopler, and if u can hear that it usually means the baby is ok. I went for my mw app on thurs and she couldnt find the heart beat very well but she could hear the placenta, she said once you've heard that u know everything is fine with baby. hth.

im not really sure what u mean.... but i saw the cord pulsing when i had my scan? n its the blood goin 2 bubs.... but dunno if the placenta does? hope this helps x

I think the blood going through placenta can be picked up sounding like a pulse if thats what you mean? That can be the noise you hear when mw etc trying to find baby's heartbeat.

I  have heard that the placenta can have a pulse (I know nothing!) does this mean that the baby should be ok?
