he was fine tho, coped really well with it, wouldnt have known a difference with him if you couldnt see the spots, although he was always topped up with nurofen to make sure!

nothing you can do i'm afraid, i was in exactly the same position as you last yr. my 6 yr old came home with it but not too bad as i had it myself when i was preg with him, then 2 weeks to the day later my 4 yr old got it and it was awful, there wasn't an inch of skin without a spot, (watch out for the willie bit, its nasty!) then my 9 week old got it another 2 weeks later, 3 days before his christening and he only got it on his head, typical!!!

Its far better for them to catch it early, especially if you are breastfeeding.  DD now 3 and DS now 2 caught it when DS was 8 months and all he had was 10 spots, didn't bother him at all

My son, who is 4, is just getting over a babd bout of chicken pox - started last Sunday. I have been stressing about y 12 week old getting it. Two GP's have assured me that she will carry my antibodies and will therefore be ok. But i know two babies, around the same age, who got it very mild after a sibling. I am ultra worried cos her christening is this Sunday!!!
