I used a Tesco test when I would have been approximately 4-6 weeks pregnant - and it gave me a false negative. I know most of the responses on here have been favourable but just thought I'd share - particularly as in my case, it led to me not finding out I was actually pregnant for another 3 months believe it or not! The dangers of being on the pill and having absolutely no symptoms....

At what would have been spot on 3 weeks, I did two tesco ones that were strong positives and then the next day 3 poundland and 3 savers ones that were also strong and instant positives. I wasn't far along at all so I was shocked to see a positive let alone a strong one... they seem good to me! xx

I did sooo many different tests - clear blue digital first, then tesco ones, sainsbury's, then some nameless ones I bought off amazon, they all said the same thing.... I did about 20 tests during the first few weeks just because it comforted me and I was a bit obsessed!! LOL!! Each to their own Congratulations!

    Ali, 33 weeks.

did 2 clearblue tests 1st time round (10 yrs ago) then tesco's own £2 this time an didn't even have time 2 squint at the leaflet before the 2nd line came thru like a neon beacon! good job too as I'd left my specs in the bedroom...

as stated on other replies; you can get a false negative but not a false positive... if ur still unsure, go to ur GP an they'll do a "proper" test for you, altho these only test for hGc anyway so it's the same thing really.
