I asked my HV about changing my baby onto a different formula (thought my baby needed to go onto the hungier baby formula but turned out shes just a gutz and needed more of the newborn stuff) and she said dont change unless you really have to as a major change of formula can upset their stomach and give them really bad contispation (sp?)

I agree with beckie,i changed to the c&g comfort as my dd seemed to be in a lot of pain and discomfort with wind etc, anyway i changed back as she was even worse, i think that because it;s a thickerconsistency it sat heavy in her tummy. Infacol is great, i don't need to use it now as she;s learned to bring up her wind herself, it took a couple of days to work but i can'i praise it enough. Each baby is different and i guess it's a case of trial and error.

Hi Kirsty, i put my lo on it when he was 3 weeks and after 2 days i changed him back again. He was so unsettled on it. Instead i increased his dosage of infacol to two bulbs before each feed. I went to the Dr's with him and whilst i was there asked about getting Infacol on the NHS and you can, so if you decide the comfort is making your lo unsettled i really reccommend the Infacol and if they are 28 days+ they can have gripe water too. In answer to your first question, you can just switch them on to it. Hth xxx

please help x

i have a 3 wk old who has a tuch of colic i changed his milk to c&G comfort he didn't get an upset tummy from it and i think its improved abit, because the formula is thicker they take less air from it, it hasn't cured him but hes not as bad, the only thing is its £1 ish more than the normal milk its already expensive enough.
