My friends threw a suprise baby shower for me and another friend last night, we are both due in the next two weeks. Just thought I would share what we did.
Games: we played guess the wieght, sex and name of the babies. ( our organised friend is putting them on a spreadsheet and sending them out post birth). Next game was guess the girth of Mum using sheets of toilette roll. My big bum p equated to 11 sheets!!! Third game was put the disposable nappy on the doll using only one hand, prize for fastest. slightly worried that that I had slowest time and this is my 4th baby, winner doesn't even have children!
The games were interspersed with gifts and glorious deserts.
the evening was finished off with the reading of a book for children about mummy having a baby at home. As I am having a hb it created lots of hilarity as there were illustrations of all the children lined up behind mum watching the baby 'come out' (not happening here, no way!!!!!).
Finally our friends prayed for us, for the birth to go smoothly, for the other children and that we would trust God and be Godly parents. It really was a fantastic evening.
Hope if you have a shower some of these ideas will help you to have fun.
