Hey.. look at this way.. they don't rot in there gums! Save on toothpaste and brushes! Every baby is different and if the dentist asys it's okay don't worry!

Not exactly the same but my son got his first tooth at 14 months and a few more followed, he stopped at 4 at the top and 2 at the bottom until 18 months... he is now 2 and has just got 2 more bottom front teeth x

I was also a late teether and i am now 27 yrs old and still dont have a filling ! So hopefully your bubs will have very strong healthy teeth x

Hello there - this may seem a bit of a random question, but how tall are you and your partner? The reason I ask is that apparently the age at which a baby gets teeth depends on skeletal size. I was talking about this with some friends last night, and wrote about it on my blog..

Could also be late if the reflux slowed growth - apparently baby has to reach a certain percentage of adult size before teeth can grow. If growth was slowed for a while, your baby is going to be older before they reach that certain percentage.

I don't know whether there is anything in this theory or not but, don't worry, your little one will get teeth soon, I am sure of it.

Not exactly the same as you but my ds is 17 months on Sunday and only has 4 teeth (two top & two bottom) with another two just starting to come through on the top.  I was starting to worry I was the only one whose lo didn't have many teeth.

my little jamie is 17 months old and has no teeth. we've seen a dentist and she said that his gums feel like the gums of a 6 month old so hopefully they are coming soon. he was a late starter because of pretty nasty reflux so she said thats another reason.

i was just wondering if anyone elses child is the same?

when he gets moody weve given up saying the T-word in our house lol
