    Hey,

To stop my LO scratching I got these sleepsuits that have fold over scratch mittens sewn into the suit. I found these really useful when scratch mitts were all too big for LO and kept falling off when he was smaller. They sell them in mothercare, not sure where else, but hope that is some help to you!

    HELP!

Jack is 28 weeks old and has had the classic signs of teething for the last couple of months now.  At first it was the excessive dribbling and the whingeing, obvious sore gums etc.  Last week his cheeks went bright red and did not disappear.  The redness was irritating him to the point whereas he started to scratch at them.

Now, he has broken skin on one of his cheeks and the poor mite keeps on scratching - especially when he goes to bed.  When he tries to settle down for his naps during the day and sleep at night, he goes crazy with his hands and rubs his eyes, ears, fingers in the mouth etc.  He did have several dummies but keeps spitting these out now.  He soothes himself to sleep using a miniature winnie the pooh, small blankie or sucking on his fingers to the roof of his mouth.

My question is, does anyone else have this problem with their lo's and what have you done to conquer the problem.  His skin is so sore now it breaks my heart to see him suffer.  I tried putting mitts on his hands but he takes these off.  I am now using socks instead.  It now appears that he needs a steriod cream on his face to help it to heal.

    xx
