lovely! i think it flows realy well. my son had a first and last name begining with the same letter. we liked it so much we didnt use a middle name.

I think Hannah Holmes sounds perfect - it flows really well and doesnt sound at all awkward. Sensible, feminine and strong - a good name for a little girl but also a good name to grow with which I think is important

I see why you question yourselves as usually it can sound strange when both names start with the same letter or sound, however, when the initial as a silent or soft sound then it makes all the difference!! I would be 100% honest with you if thought it sounded ridiculous but I think Hannah Holmes sounds lovely and not at all a tongue twister. Its a beautiful name and the soft 'H' lets you get away with it. Lovely

We're expecting a girl in ten weeks time and are really struggling with the name. We've both always loved Hannah, but with the surname being Holmes we just can't decide if that sounds alright or really awful! We don't want to get it wrong after all she'll have to live with it forever, so any views welcome, thank you!
