things like this is what made me so unprepared for the birth, it looks so easy on tv and god its nothing like that, the real thing was a total shock for me.

I thought it was really rubbish acting, but as someone else said, it is shown on a sunday afternoon so they can`t really make it much worse. I am due on Saturday with my second, and when I had my first last year, I did get up straight away and have a shower afterwards because I absolutely stank. The hospital wouldn`t let more than 2 people in at a time to see me, my mum had travelled over an hour with my nan and grand dad and one of them had to wait outside while 2 came in. I thought that was really bad. Personally I wouldn`t want the entire family there while in labour- although I know many do want that. Also if she had twins, then she most likely did have a c sec so wouldn`t know what labour was like. All that aside, the acting was bad x

tbh although I agree it's unrealistic it is shown midday on Sunday and I wouldn't want my 4 yr old to see the 'real deal' he's already asking me how does the baby come out as I'm preg atm. but the acting was very poor.

every birth is different they cant portray what different births are like in one scene i know its unrealistic but what can they do

my ds was out with only 2 pushes was only there 1hr and a half   and he wasnt that bloody either as i was given him straight away

i was walking to the school 2 day after i was even able to walk after the birth as funny enough my legs still worked

I actually cringe everytime I see a woman in labour on telly - It must be hard to act it out in front of all the camera's but still - it was sooo unrealistic!! Surely they can get it better then that!?

And what was with the whole family just gathered in the room afterwards.. including the dad, with the door wide open aswell and their all standing there arguing!!! Argghh!

I thought the whole thing was poor and unrealistic, how lucky was she to have brand new looking room to herself the whole time, the baby was out pretty quick, they passed the baby straight to the midwife without even cutting the cord, and there was no mess like blood etc. Before I had my first lo, this is how i thought birth was as tv portrays it so unrealistically. I was in for a shock when I had a share a ward before and after the birth with 5 others, and was in agony for hours in labour, and couldn't walk properly for days. With labour and birth being an everyday occurrence I thought Eastenders would have tried to get it right.

yeah i did wonder where all the blood and gunk was which you have when givign birth - and

Also lol at the gas n air  -  anyone who has had kids knows u have to have a few long proper sucks on it before it starts to take effect - Roxy was only having 1 half hearted little suck if u cud even call it that ...  surely peeps know or research how it is in real life?   I think they do it on purpose to make it lok corny.
