Metronidazole is quite a broad spectrum antibiotic, it is used for anaerobic infection all over the body not just STD's - I really wouldnt worry until you have spoken to your doc about why you have been prescribed them.

Metrodianozle (sp) is a general anti-b used for treating PID amongst other things.

Could be you just have a simple infection from either a coil or post birth or similar not necessarily an STD

metronidazole are used to treat loads of different infections, not just std's. the main thing is to get rid of the infection and start feeling better. let us know what the doc says tomorra. xx

did it actually say on the letter from the docs that it was this particular infection?

my lovely ex passed 2 std's on to me when we first started going out, (over 8yrs ago), i was treated for them and thought that would be the end of it. i was wrong!!!! when i was having treatment for pre-cancerous cervical cells 4yrs ago,and with a different partner whos now my hubby, my doc did a swab and it came back showing i had chlamydia. i was absolutely devastated. i blamed my partner but he swore to me he hadnt cheated, which later got proven as he had swabs and they were clear.

it turns out that most std's can lie dormant for as long as 6yrs!

so if it turns out that you do have this infection, dont blame anyone until you have the proof, as it could be something you or your partner have had for many years without even realising. it doesnt necessarily mean hes cheated. good luck with everything and take care. x

Have you suspected you OH is cheating? Or has this come out of this blue?

In all honesty I'd wait until you'd spoken to your Dr. Google Is NOT Your Friend when it comes to things like this.

I'd say its a good indicator. BUT don't take it as proof.

Has anyone ever had this before? Does this mean my husband has cheated?
