That is good! The nurse wasn't too happy about advising me to have the implant, and was very adamant that the coil would be best for me. I am happy it's done now and looking forward to feeling a bit better.

evrythings fine now, yea. they hadn't cut the strings short enough so when i was having sex, it was pullin on the strings, they cut them back and same happened so it wasn't that it wasn't inserted right. i even had an ultrasound to see if it was positioned right and they couldn't find anything wrong with it! So I had it taken out and fell pregnant 3 months later with DD. Implant is really good, i've had no side effects from it apart from light bleeding but i can't rate it high enough. Everything else makes me put on weight, the implant has made me lose it!!

That doesn't sound too nice. I take it that it wasn't fitted correctly, or the coil had started to come out if it had reached your cervix?

the coil turned me into a crazy psycho b*** that never wanted sex and when i did hav sex, it hurt like mad, why? becaue it was shredding my cervix to bits.........just my personaly opinion. i'm on the implant now and love it!!! don't have 2 worry bout anything, not turned crazy, only problem is, my periods haven't settled down but they do say it takes a while for it to settle, i've had it in for 3 months n been bldeeing for 2 of them but, it's not heavy. just spotting really......

hi hun, yeah my sister was on the Yasmin Pill (and her friend too) and they both turned into annoying and stroppy cows lol! It wasn't there fault but the pill contains high levels of hormones which make you switch from one mood to another...HTH xxxx

After a trip to the local Family Planning Clinic I found out that the pill I am, and have been using for several years contains really high levels of eostrogen and that the Family Plannin Clinc doesn't prescribe it for that reason.

My other half has been telling me for months that I have changed and that I am not the same person.

Does anyone know or have had any experiences with these side effects from Yasmin?

I have stopped using it at the moment as I am getting the coil fitted. But it would really reassure me to think that I not a hateful cow and that it might have been the effects of the oestrogen.
