it sounds normal to be honest they say you normally have a bleed between 7 days and 14 days after you've taken it. just see how it goes x

hi looking for some advice please my period ended on the 1st october and i had sex that nite but the condom split i took the morning after pill on the 3rd and then started bleeding on the 7th and its still going on it is quite heavy sorry for tmi
anyone know why this is happening as my next period shouldnt be due till november sorry if i sound a bit thick lol thnaks in advance

Lollychops- this is the first time I have ever used the morning after pill, and I don't know why you got the idea that i use it as a regular thing. I'm always really careful, but the condom broke.

wots up hunni? when r u due ur period hun?i took the morning after pill last week and iv bin bleeding since yesterday which im not sure is my period but my period is due round about now...so hope it is. these tabs r meant to work hun aslong as there taking not long after u had the unprotected sex so i wuldnt worry accidents do happen and aslong as u dnt rely on them all the time ur ok.cos iv only ever took it once and im havin probs it messed my cylcle up.

hiya hun,
dont mean to sound harsh or blunt but you need to stop using the mornin after pill as a contraceptive, seriously as you will have long term effects,if you kep having accidents can you not go on the pill,injection or so on. i know it was an accident but these accidents happenin a lil too much!.... if u are on your period you should be ok but as its proved it doesnt do its job.

Oh god, now I'm worried! Me and my boyfriend had an accident last night, and took the morning after pill first thing this morning. I'm right in the middle of my cycle, and was told that it will only be 95% effective!

i took the morning ater pill around 12-16 hrs after our accident hun, it does just prove its not realiable i am very shocked to see how many of us took the pill and fell pg.
i started bleeding very heavily and thought it was a period but i was miscarriaging sadly it was not meant to be i suppose
best to get checked out hun as you just never know u could fall then again you could not but id still go doctors if you are late for your period

oh cheers ladies if u dnt mind me asking though. how long after having the unprotected sex did u take the tab? cos it is more effective the quicker u take it , i took mine within 16 hrs of having unprotected sex...and my period was due within 6 days anyhow so it was unlikely that i was gna get pregnent.so im hoping its worked.im not so bothered about getting preg as i already ave 2 boys but i was jus worried about it increasing risk in etopic pregnancy,im a worrier!!!thanks xxxxxxxxx

i took the morning after pill a few years back,my son was only 4 months old at the time and i was adamant i didnt want another baby so soon. i had what i thought was a period then nothing the month after, turned out i was actually 8 weeks pregnant with twins the bleed wasnt a period but me losing 1 of the twins. after seeing the doctor he couldnt say for definite whether it was down to the pill or the fact that my family have always had difficulties with carrying twins. my daughter is now 4 and a happy healthy little girl.

i took the morning after pill twice from one incident just to be sure but im 7 months pregnant now.
hey i wonder if anybody would have any advice? i took the moring after pill last week after having a lil accidnet wiv partner and my period was due yesterday and iam having red spotting but doesnt seem like my usual period, but iam getting period pains anybody ever taken this tablet? wot happned? i dnt mean to b nosey i jus not sure wots up!!! im not botherd about being pregnent im more concerned as i read that the pill can cause etopic pregnancies...
